The ICU at the University Hospital Erlangen optimizes blood gas testing with Radiometer’s 1st automatic
In May 2008, the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the German University Hospital Erlangen implemented Radiometer’s 1st automatic solution.
We have been using 1st automatic in our multidisciplinary ICU and we are really satisfied with the results. With 1st automatic, we are using up to 20-30 minutes less on blood gas testing per sample flow. Considering that we take approximately 200 blood gas samples a day, this helps us not only to save time, but also reduce costs.
