Speed is also a matter of how fast the analyzer can be ready when you power it up or run successive testing. Additionally, speed is critical when replacing consumables; having the analyzer up and functional in minutes is critical.”

”The size of the analyzer is a major concern when talking about point of care. The analyzer must be small in size so it can be easily mounted on the heart-lung machine or transported down the hall for an emergency surgery. Outside of the CVOR, the smaller it is, the easier it is to place the analyzer near the patient.”

"The part that I was sold on was the simplicity of the ABL77. The sensor cassettes, Cal Pack, and paper can be changed in only a few minutes with only a few steps.
In an environment with changing staff an analyzer must be user friendly; the fact that the ABL77 is easy to use and maintain was an advantage to our department."
