Radiometer America launches the advanced ABL90 FLEX PLUS blood gas analyzer in the US

New automated inlet increases sample integrity

March 20, 2017

Radiometer America has just received approval from the FDA for its latest point-of-care blood gas analyzer, the ABL90 FLEX PLUS.

The ABL90 FLEX PLUS is the latest addition to the ABL90 FLEX family of analyzers and will serve as Radiometer America’s platform for all new assays, making it the future for point-of-care testing.  The ABL90 FLEX PLUS also comes equipped with a new automated inlet to minimize manual processes and reduce the risk of errors.  This will ease training of new users and improve the overall user experience by simplifying the entire sampling process.

Like the rest of the family, the ABL90 FLEX PLUS can measure 17 parameters in 35 seconds using only 65 µL of blood. The analyzer is compliant with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines for external controls, easing its introduction into new departments and facilities by not requiring an Individualized Quality Control Plan (IQCP).
