Radiometer launched the advanced ABL90 FLEX PLUS blood gas analyzer in Canada

MicroMode feature measures 17 parameters with only a 45 µL blood sample

April 21, 2017

Radiometer has received approval from Health Canada for its latest point of care blood gas analyzer, the ABL90 FLEX PLUS with MicroMode and automated inlet.

MicroMode offers healthcare professionals a new sampling mode that measures up to 17 parameters on only 45 µL blood samples in only 60 seconds. The ABL90 FLEX PLUS uses the new 45 µL safeCLINITUBES plastic capillary tubes, ideal for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or delivery room.  This helps to conserve as much blood as possible for critically ill neonates and distressed fetuses.

The ABL90 FLEX PLUS also comes equipped with a new automated inlet to minimize manual processes and reduce the risk of errors.  This will ease training for new employees and improve the overall user experience by simplifying the sampling process from beginning to end.

The new ABL90 FLEX PLUS will also serve as Radiometer’s platform for all new assays, making it the future of point of care testing.
